2020 IPL 2020: MI vs RR: The massive fifty of Suryakumar leads MI to 193/4

In the 20th match of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians are playing against Rajasthan Royals at the Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi today. After two back-to-back victories against KXIP and SRH by the defending champions, Mumbai Indians are full of confidence and placed at the second position in the points table. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals is struggling very hard to get back in the form after continuous losses and residing in the fifth spot.

Let’s see whether Mumbai Indians can make of a hat-trick of victories or will Rajasthan Royals can earn their third victory.

1st Innings:

Mumbai Indians won the toss and they choose to bat first. Although Mumbai Indians have lost an early wicket of de Kock in the 1st over of Karthik Tyagi, they had put in a nice start against the team of Rajasthan Royals. In the 9th over, a soft dismissal of MI captain Rohit Sharma by Shreyas Gopal and Rajasthan Royals had their man. The hitman back to the pavilion by scoring 35 runs in 23 balls.

After the dismissal of Rohit Sharma, in the next ball, only Shreyas found himself on a hat-trick. Shreyas Gopal to Ishan Kishan and that was out, caught by Sanju Samson.  After 10 over, MI was 92/3.

In the last ball of 13th over, Jofra Archer was at his best. He was able to exploits the weakness of Krunal Pandya and sent him back to the pavilion after scoring 12 runs off 17 deliveries. In 15th over, MI was 125/4.

In the 15.1 over, Suryakumar Yadav completed his 8th half-century in IPL and 1st in this season and it still continues. And finally, he was able to make the highest score in the IPL (79 not out). Hardik Pandya (30 not out) and Suryakumar Yadav, this duo added 76 runs for the fifth wicket.

Once again after losing crucial wickets, Mumbai Indians managed to put up a big total on the board. They had crossed the 190 mark. In 20 overs, Mumbai Indians scored 193/4.

For now, Rajasthan Royals have a tough task to avoid a third back-to-back defeat.
