West Indies Announces a Busy Home Summer 2022 – 2023

International cricket is now back on track and all the boards are ready with new schedules to keep their players busy. West Indies following the same has announced a very busy summer starting the competition with Bangladesh, followed by India and Newzealand who will visit the Caribbean Islands. Here in this article, we talk about the West Indies Schedule For 2022 – 2023.

From June 16 to July 16, Bangladesh will tour the Caribbean Islands as part of the ICC World Test Championship, playing two Test matches against the West Indies at Antigua and St Lucia. In Dominica and Guyana, three T20Is and three CG United ODIs will follow the two Tests. The first two T20Is will be played at Windsor Park, which has been totally restored and will host international cricket for the first time since storm devastation in 2017. At the Guyana National Stadium, the Bangladesh home series will conclude with the third T20I and three CG United ODIs.

The white-ball tour of India will begin on July 22 in Trinidad and Tobago, with three CG United ODIs at Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain from July 22 to 27, followed by five T20Is at three different venues. The first T20I, which will be played on Friday, July 29 at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in the south of Trinidad, will be historic because it will be the first-ever Men’s T20I. Warner Park, St Kitts, will host the back-to-back second and third T20I matches, which will coincide with the island’s Emancipation Day and Culturama holiday celebrations. The eight-match India white-ball tour comes to a close on August 6 and 7 with a thrilling weekend of back-to-back T20I matches at the Broward County Cricket Stadium in Lauderhill, Florida.

The cricket summer in the West Indies draws to an end with New Zealand’s white-ball tour of the Caribbean. From Wednesday, August 10 to Sunday, August 14, the Kiwis will play three T20Is in Jamaica before heading to Barbados for three days/night CG United ODIs. The ICC ODI Super League includes all nine CG United ODIs, with the West Indies hoping to qualify directly for the ICC World Cup in 2023.
