Amid the outbreak of COVID-19, the cricketers spend all their time in quarantine with their families inside their homes or with fans on social media. All of them are ready to touch the ground, though. Also, by taking a hilarious jibe at Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli has shown his eagerness in his recent social media activity for the first cricket session after lockdown but in a funny way.
All the cricketing series have either been canceled or postponed due to the global pandemic that has taken more than 2 Lakh lives across the globe, and the number is increasing with each passing day. It is spreading at a very high rate, as no vaccination available for it. This is the reason why cricket associations and boards have postponed the tournaments for an indefinite period.
If the situation at this time were usual, then the cricket fans would have enjoyed the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) scheduled to begin from March 29. But this is not the case, and because of COVID-19, the BCCI has postponed it. There’s no question about the fact cricketers are missing a lot of their game. Therefore, they practice daily to maintain their shape to reach the ground as soon as the lockdown is over.
Kohli takes a funny jibe at Pujara
Recently, Virat Kohli also revealed his eagerness to get back to the game in his social media post, but in a humorous way. He took his official Twitter handle and shared a catch with him during the 2018-19 Indian Test Series in Australia. Kohli also tried his best to troll his teammate Cheteshwar Pujara and hoped that Pujara would be caught in the first training session after the lockdown.
His caption read, “The first session after lockdown is like … @cheteshwar1 I hope you’re going to go for the pujji ball.” It’s going to be interesting to see now if Pujara’s answer to his skipper is coming up too.
