2020 is going to be a big year for Shubman Gill. The young batsman is likely to get the entire IPL season for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), where he started the innings. However, his dreams have now come to a standstill due to the coronavirus threat.
The crisis has also ruined the possibility of playing in the IPL at the moment. The Punjab batsman now lives with his family just like every other player. During this lockdown, many cricketers expected to interact with their fans on social media. Gill decided to hold a question-and-answer session with his fans on Twitter. During this interaction, fans asked him many questions, and the right-handed batsman responded appropriately.
Hey guys hope everyone is staying safe. Well, I am up for a Q&A session. So all you got to do is ask me your questions using #AskShubman

One of the fans asked his favorite batsman, Gill, and he surprisingly named him Sachin Tendulkar. Like many other Indian cricketers, Master Blaster seems to have inspired this young man as well. Still, the fan asked who his favorite foreign batsman was. Without much trouble surrounding the answer, Shubman Gill named Australia’s former captain Ricky Ponting.

Shubman Gill shares his experience of playing with Andre Russell
After some cricketing questions, a fan jumped at the question of football. Shubman asked what he liked most between Messi and Ronaldo. With no hesitation, the cricketer chose the former. Interestingly, there was a question from KKR’s official Twitter handle, where the franchise asked him to share his batting experience with West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell.
The 20-year-old batsman said that batting with Russell was like watching the highlights match from the non-striker’s end. “From the end of the non-striker, it’s like watching the headlines on TV,” Gill replied.

Shubman Gill is one of the brightest prospects in international cricket. Gill has made huge strides in domestic cricket ever since he was named Man of the Tournament at the ICC U19 World Cup 2018.
He has been with the Indian team for the past few months, but he has not yet had a chance. Gill has scored heavily for Punjab in all formats over the past two seasons. He can enter the Indian team anytime.
