Following in the footsteps of his former opening partner and Gautam Gambhir, currently a politician, who is renowned for his charity, Virender Sehwag has decided to train the children of two Indian soldiers, martyred in a suicide attack in Pulwama in early February, at his academy.

The former Indian opener shared a photo on Twitter on Wednesday. Earlier, in February this year, Virender Sehwag had tweeted that he would take care of the educational needs of the martyred victims’ children.

When a suicide bomber of the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) rammed his convoy into a convoy of CRPF personnel, 40 of them were martyred in Pulwama on India-Pakistan border.

The Twitterati, gushing over the Sehwag’s noble initiative, applauded him.
