Strengths and Weaknesses of Mumbai Indians(MI)

What is Mumbai Indians Strengths?

The trio of Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav is amongst the best of all the teams. They have played with each other for a long time and now represent the National side together. Their compatibility along with skills will help Mumbai Indians flourish like before.

Mumbai Indians have a good number of experienced players who know how to build games and take them out of danger whenever needed. Keiron Pollard might have been a shocker retainment for many, but his contribution to MI through the bat, ball, in the field, or even with decision making has been immense and still hold a lot of fervor.

Rohit Sharma has emerged as one of the most successful captains of IPL history. His recent accomplishments with the Indian team prove his captaincy skills to be above par. His presence with the team is one of their biggest strengths.

Of all 70 league matches, 55 are set to be played in Mumbai and it is sure the Twelfth Man of Mumbai, i.e., its fans and audience will be a big part of boosting their confidence and supporting them through the tournament.

Out of all the franchisees of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians has the best management. They analyze games and make a game plan like no other. Over the years, their experience has only grown and the results have been exceptional which will help them build a good strategy for this year as well.

What is Mumbai Indians weakness?

Mumbai Indian’s strategy in this year’s auction was hard to understand for many. They went after Ishan Kishan and Tim David passionately but failed to do it with others. They half-heartedly bid on many players with very few conversions and results of which can be seen while formulating combinations of their playing XI. Besides retained players, the team looks completely new.

Mumbai Indians is a side of inexperienced players this season. A lot is not known about the players they have bid on to set any expectations. The side’s strategy behind choosing a bunch of youngsters is a big gamble.

Jofra Archer may have left the Mumbai table applauding after his acquisition by the franchise but his unavailability this season leaves a void in their pace attack. Jasprit Bumrah is the only bowler who has proven his mettle through the years consistently. He might miss a fierce partner like Trent Boult to bowl with him on the other side.

Mumbai Indians have managed to pull themselves out of the deepest pit and managed to win the trophy in the past. The franchise is extremely confident with eyes only focused on the trophy. They come on the field only to win, come what may. Playing in front of the home crowd, one can expect all kinds of turnaround from the side even when it doesn’t look its best on the paper.
