Sachin Tendulkar Reaction On MCC Latest Laws

The cricket world is split as a result of this judgment. Whereas many people hailed the reforms with great zeal, many others had concerns about this disputed type of removal. Sachin Tendulkar, the iconic Indian batsman, falls within the first type. Went to Twitter, the former Indian batsman posted a video, applauding MCC’s move to withdraw the drawbacks associated with the way of removal.

Sachin Tendulkar responded to the alterations in the ‘Mankad’ call by saying: “New rules have been introduced in cricket by MCC committee and I am quite supportive of a couple of them. The first one is the Mankad dismissal. I was always uncomfortable with that particular dismissal being called ‘Mankad’.

“I’m really happy that this has been changed to run out. It should always have been run out, according to me. So this is one good piece of news for all of us. I was not comfortable with it all, but that won’t be the case anymore.”

Tendulkar also agreed to the 2nd adjustment, which requires new batsmen to confront the bowler irrespective of if they had ever passed the non-striker batsman prior to being removed.

“It’s absolutely fair because if a bowler has been successful in picking a wicket it’s only fair that a bowler gets a chance to bowl to a new batter. This new rule is a good one and well done on that,” he said.

The MCC has made many improvements to the cricket regulations, along with a restriction on using saliva to polish the cricket ball.

The next batsman will be on strike even if the players crossed when the catch is taken, according to the new rules. This decision has undoubtedly taken away significant benefits given by batting teams throughout the years, and Tendulkar is satisfied with the move.
