Batting icon Sachin Tendulkar has been hospitalised as a precautionary measure after he was tested positive for COVID-19. Sachin Tendulkar was tested positive 6 days back. The 47-year-old took to Twitter to announce the development on Friday. “Thank you for your wishes and prayers. As a matter of abundant precaution under medical advice, I have been hospitalised. I hope to be back home in a few days. Take care and stay safe everyone,” Tendulkar wrote.


Sachin Tendulkar admitted to the hospital

Tendulkar was tested positive on 27th March and was home quarantined since then. Sachin Tendulkar was admitted to H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital late at night after complaints of cold and fever. Sachin Tendulkar lives in Mumbai where Covid-19 cases are always on the high. Tendulkar also confirmed that all the other members of his family had tested negative for the virus.

Recently Sachin Tendulkar was seen leading the India Legends Team in Road Safety World Series. India Legends defeated Sri Lanka Legends by 14 runs in the final of the Road Safety World Series to clinch the title.

Victory in the veteran’s tournament in Raipur had crowds allowed inside the stadiums. However, four members of the India Legends squad — Tendulkar, Subramaniam Badrinath, Irfan Pathan and Yusuf Pathan confirmed that they had tested positive for COVID-19 merely days after the tournament’s completion.

Sachin Tendulkar, captain of the India Legends, finished the tournament as the third-highest run-getter with 233 runs from seven matches. In the final, Sachin Tendulkar scored a classy 30, which included five boundaries.
