Rashid Khan’s one-man show leads Adelaide strikers to Victory.

Adelaide Strikers won the toss and opt to bat first.

First innings :

Adelaide Strikers got a very good start of 47 runs from the opening batsman. Opener Philip Salt had hit a brilliant half-century (54) in 26 balls which includes 7 four’s and 1 six. Captain & Wicket-keeper Alex Carey played a responsible knock of 41 in 37 balls and built a good partnership with Wells. After these both players got out, Rashid Khan showed some power hitting with the bat. He had made 25 runs at the end, which includes 2 six’s and 2 four’s.

Melbourne Renegades bowler Kane Richardson picked 4 wickets in his four overs spell. Another bowler Boyce bowled a brilliant spell with a low economy rate and picked 2 wickets. Remaining all bowlers didn’t bowl up to team expectations.

Second innings :

With a target of 156, Melbourne openers Sam Harper and captain Finch started their innings. Finch played brilliantly in a pressure match and hit a half-century. Webster showed some power hitting in death overs with 2 six’s and 2 four’s he hit unbeaten 37 runs and almost he tried to chase the target.

Brilliant fielding from Strikers

Like a saying in cricket ‘catches win the game’. Exactly happened in the second innings of the game. Well, settled batsman, Finch got runout by Rashid Khan’s terrific fielding effort. Christian also got run out in his first delivery by Philip Salt. Melbourne scored 137 runs by loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs.

Finally, Adelaide Strikers won the match by 18 runs.

Both Wes Ager and Cameron Valente picked 2 wickets.
