Delhi Capital has traded Trent Boult with Mumbai Indians, it was confirmed on Wednesday (November 13). The King’s XI Punjab pacer, Ankit Rajpoot, was also traded with Rajasthan Royals, the media release of the BCCI said.

Boult was bought in advance of IPL 2018 by Capitals for Rs. 2.20 Crores for scalping18 wickets from 14 games. Though things didn’t go as expected as he only had five wickets in five games at an average of 32.60 in IPL 2019, Capitals decided to sign R Ashwin with their track conditions favoring spinners and traded J Suchith with KXIP. Boult has 33 games in the IPL and a total of 38 wickets at an economy of 8.78.

Capitals made several changes to their roster selling Sherfane Rutherford to Mumbai Indians, including Mayank Markande in their team.

In IPL 2019, Rajpoot only played four games and was able to get only three wickets at an economy of over nine and an average of over 50. After making his IPL debut in 2013, the pacer also played for Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders.
