Mohammed Siraj was retained in India’s playing XI in the Sydney Test as well which began on Thursday, January 7. Before the commencement of Day 1, Siraj was spotted crying during India’s national anthem. Playing for India meant a lot for the bowler, as it was his late father’s dream to watch him play for his country. “I remembered my dad during the national anthem, it was very emotional. My dad always wanted me to play Test cricket. If he were here today, he would have seen me playing for India,” said Siraj during the virtual press conference.
