India defeated Pakistan by 7 wickets, thanks to Radha Yadav, Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma they picked up wickets early on in the innings to disrupt the Pakistan batsmen early on but the Pakistani women were imminent and did not give up until the very end.
Skipper Maroof and Ayesha Naseem fought until the end as they carry the broken Pakistan ship to a defendable total of 149/4 in 20 overs. Skipper Maroof finished her innings with a 68-run knock from 55 balls (7 fours) and Ayesha Naseem finished her knock with 43 runs from 25 balls (2 fours, 2 six).

Indian openers Yastika Bhatia and Shafali Verma looked like starting the run chase pretty well as they both scored 38 runs but the party was spoiled by Sadia Iqbal in the 6th over. Later Shafali Verma followed her to the pavilion as she was dismissed by Nashra Sandhu in the tenth over.
India needed 55 runs in the last 36 balls, India had Jemimah Rodrigues and Richa Ghosh on the field in the chase to win their first match for India. Jemimah Rodrigues was the standout player for India as she stood her ground tall in order to help India cross the line.
Rodrigues finished her match-winning knock with 53 runs from 38 balls (8 fours). Richa Ghosh also played a crucial role in finishing the job for the Indian side, as she finished her knock with 31 runs from 20 balls (5 fours).

Nashra Sandhu was the highest wicket-taker for Pakistan as she picked up two wickets and conceded 15 runs in her four overs. On the other hand, Sadia Iqbal picked up one wicket in her four-over spell. No one else was really unable to keep the Indian batswomen in check as a result India won the match by 7 wickets.
