AUS vs SA 2nd Test Highlights: The last time South Africa visited Australia for the test series, they won it by 2-1. However, this tour’s performance thus far tells a very different tale, as the Proteas have lost two games by significant margins and the series with one game remaining.

The forgettable series saw South Africa lost the first by 6 wickets, and in the second game they were bowled out for 189 in first innings, while they only managed to put runs on board while chasing 386-run trail and faced a defeat by 182runs.

It was a complete team effort by team Australia. Most of their batters contributed to team’s total in first innings. Led by Warner, who struck a brilliant 200, and Cameron Green with the bowl, who bagged a fifer.

AUS vs SA 2nd Test Highlights: South Africa 1st innings

Invited to bat, South Africa after facing a humiliating defeat in the first test, were prepared to face Australia’s pace attack. But all-rounder Cameron Green came out of syllabus for them.

Green, who recently got selected for a whopping INR 17.50 in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 mini auction, broke the back of the visitors and completed a fifer to restrict them for just 189.

AUS vs SA 2nd Test: Warner smashes 100 in his 100th test

Australia continued to play in a dominant manner as they posted a mammoth 575 runs in their first innings.

It was a game to remember for the star opener David Warner, who was playing his 100th test. Warner made history by recording a century in his 100th test match. He then went to score 200 in no time. He, however had to walk back due to injury which he met during his celebration of double century.

Even before scoring 200 runs, Warner had been experiencing cramps. However, the way he marked the occasion appears to have made things worse. At first batter was also seen clutching his thighs and sought medical attention.

But eventually the southpaw was unable to continue and was forced to retire hurt.

Steve Smith scored 85, Travis Head 51, Cameron Green 51, and a hundred by Alex Carey guided Australia to 575 in their first innings.

Australia crush South Africa to win series

Everyone was fairly certain that the visitors wouldn’t be able to break the barrier because they trailed by 386 runs and their batters’ form was not favourable, and exactly that is what happened.

The tourists managed to put joust 204 to hand Australia series with 1 match yet to play.
