CSK vs SRH 1st Innings Update:
The contest between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Chennai Super Kings is on. The orange team’s captain won the toss and elected to field first. After the completion of 1st innings, Chennai Super Kings scored a massive pile of 202 runs for just 2 wickets. They have given Sunrisers a chase of 203 runs for the win.
All seemed to have well in favor of Chennai who played effortless cricket in the middle. Ruturaj and Conway’s shot selection throughout the innings deserve much appreciation and they helped Chennai reach a score they should feel confident in defending.
During the death overs, Conway with some help from Ms Dhoni scored 30 runs in the last 3 overs. The opener being comfortable with the pitch played most of the shots. The batting managed to hit more boundaries.
In the last five overs, CSK managed to score 49 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. The highest partnership of the innings was between Conway and Gaikwad who did most of the work for the yellow team and contributed 182 runs to the innings.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled the 17th over of the game and was successful in restricting the batters. 6 runs came in this over. A total of 11 runs and a wicket came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Natarajan who dismissed the exploding Ruturaj Gaikwad on 99! This brought MSD in the middle.
The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Umran Malik who kept things in control, conceding just 8 runs. The 20th over of the innings was bowled by Natarajan who got hit for 2 fours by Conway as he conceded 11 runs from it. He also dismissed Dhoni in the over.
The run rate at the end of the first innings is 10.10. Ruturaj Gaikwad scored the highest number of 99 runs by hitting 6 sixes and 6 fours at a great strike rate of 173.68.
