United Arab Emirates and Netherlands are all set to square off in the second game of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 at the Simonds Stadium in Geelong.
The first match of the qualifying round was between Sri Lanka and Namibia, and this is the second. Both of these games will take place at Simonds Stadium in Geelong, at the same location.
UAE and Netherlands will both be striving for a strong campaign debut. To advance to the next round will be the first task for both of these teams. UAE will return to the T20 World Cup in 2022 after an absence of 8 years.
They last participated in the 2014 T20 World Cup. They suffered three straight defeats at that time. The Netherlands, on the other hand, last played in UAE but was unable to get past the Super 12 round.
Although UAE held an advantage over the Netherlands in the five prior matches between the two sides, winning four of them wouldn’t mean much. But as the winners of the T20 World Cup qualifying matches in February, the team managed by CP Rizwan will start as the favourite.
The Scott Edwards-led team boasts some match-winners, and the captain, who was born in Australia, will also be seeking to make his mark in his own country. Despite losing the three-match ODI series to Pakistan and losing a few T20Is to New Zealand, the Netherlands also fell short in those series.

The second match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 will take place on October 16 at County Ground in Hove, followed by the second game on September 21 at the Simonds Stadium in Geelong.
