Makhaya Ntini, the first black African cricketer to play for South Africa, claimed to have been biased in the South African team during his days of play. Ntini came out in support of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) campaign and joins the list of retired players who opened up their experience of racism, stating that more often than not they were left feeling alone, to the point of avoiding traveling in team bus when he could. “I’d say, ‘I’ll see you back at the hotel,’ and then I’d run all the way back to the hotel,” Ntini said on SABC’s Morning Live on Friday.
