Poonam Yadav was one of the star performers in the 2020 edition of the Women’s T20 World Cup in Australia. In the first encounter, she flipped a web around the hosts’ batting unit and guided India to a comprehensive victory at the Sydney Showground Stadium. Behind her incredible performance, India won four matches and finished Group A on the points table.
She did not make much of an impact in the final. But she darted from the cricket fraternity for the courage to throw the ball regularly. Questions on Dhoni’s return
Dhoni is an enigmatic figure in Indian men’s cricket. Since making his debut in 2004, he has only grown to the stature, and his fondness has not diminished. However, after appearing for India in the 2019 World Cup, the 38-year-old has not played any competitive cricket.
That cast doubts his future in the national team. He will next play in the 2020 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) for Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The start of the T20 League has been postponed from March 29 to April 15 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
On the other hand, David was one of India in her playing days. She participated in 10 Tests, and 97 ODIs, where she took 41 and 141 wickets respectively. She made her New Zealand debut at Nelson in 1995, and her distinguished career lasted 13 years.
