The post read of KXIP’s twitter: “Stat Alert: the first No.11 batsman is @SaluteCotterell to finish a chase by hitting a Six in history.”

After winning the opener at the same ground on Tuesday by five wickets, this victory gave West Indies a 2-0 lead in the three-game series.

It was the fellow tail-ender Hayden Walsh who was his team’s savior, despite Cottrell’s headline-stealing shot. Starting his international career last year, Walsh finished unbeaten on 46 while playing for the United States in his seventh one-dayer.

“About the win, we are relieved, in the effort we all kept,” said Alzarri Joseph, the man of the match of West Indies for the second game in a row, He hit a valuable 16 with Walsh for the ninth-wicket stand.

Joseph added, “Sensibly we get to the score as we wanted to bat. As it’s not finished and we have to for one more game but, this win means a lot to everyone.”
