West Indies fast bowler Sheldon Cottrell shared a throwback video of MS Dhoni receiving the Padma Bhushan from the president in full army uniform.
Dhoni was awarded the Padma Bhushan on 2nd April 2018, exactly seven years after India won the World Cup 2011 under his captaincy. That was a great moment for the fans to watch MS Dhoni to receive a third civilian award as one of the greatest honours.
Dhoni’s video was shared by Cottrell, who himself has served a soldier in the Jamaican Defence Force. He was praising Dhoni for his love towards his country and also his wife to watch her husband march his way to glory.

“This man is an inspiration on the cricket field. But he is also a patriot and a man that gives to his country beyond duty. I have been at home in Jamaica with my boys these past weeks and had time to reflect.” – Cottrell said.
MS Dhoni’s recent actions show the love he has towards the Indian Army. Furthermore, He took a break from cricket and decided to serve the Indian Army. From 31st July to 15th August, he will spend time with the troops and gain experience of working in the army.
