After getting their second dose of vaccine, Team India players will take a sequence of COVID-19 tests. In order to arrange vaccines for its players in England, the BCCI worked with the UK’s national health department. The visitors were granted a three-week vacation from the bio bubble after losing the WTC final to NZ(Kiwis). Now that the break is over, the players were tested for COVID-19 on Saturday. The players were tested for the first time after receiving their second dosage, which occurred between July 7 and July 9. Seven members of England’s camp for the Pakistan series have tested positive for the virus. Team India’s testing process appears to have improved since then.
Getting ready for the 5-match series against England, the team Indian will play a handful of intra-squad matches. In addition, starting July 20, the tourists will play Select County XI in a three-day warm-up match in Durham.
England and India will play their first Test match at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, giving Virat Kohli’s squad plenty of time to prepare for the crucial series. India’s previous tour of England ended in a 4-1 defeat, and they will aim to rectify that defeat in the next series.
