ICC Confirmed Devon Conway To Play For New Zealand

Devon Conway Is Set To Make His International Debut With New Zealand:

The south African run-machine Devon Conway is now eligible to play for New Zealand from 28th August. ICC has confirmed his participation in the New Zealand team.

At the age of 26, he left Johannesburg in 2017 September to build his carrier in New Zealand. Previously he had played cricket at the local level, domestic cricket of South Africa but struggled very much to make a good impression in the leading franchise cricket in his infrequent appearances. Now, he plays for Wellington.

This Move Will be very Much Productive for New Zealand:

In the 17 first-class games of Conway for Wellington, he has scored massive 1598 runs at an average rate of 72.63 with the help of four hundred and a single unbeaten 327 runs against Canterbury in last October. He is the eighth triple- hundred scorer in New Zealand.

In the 2019-20 season- the T20 Super Smash, the List A Ford Trophy, the first-class Plunket Shield, and in two tournaments among the three in 2018-19, Conway performed outstandingly and topped the run charts in all the three domestic competitions.

Devon Conway’s fantastic 2019-20 runs coincided also with the Super Smash double and the Plunket Shield.

Conway is all set to join the like of Neil Wagner and Grant Elli, who are born in South Africa and play for New-Zealand.

On Tuesday (31-03-2020), Devon Conway informed in a media teleconference “ it is fantastic to have that confirmed date, August 28, as a reminder to say that you are very much close. I am very much happy to hear this, but I have to work hard and hopefully, I would get an opportunity to enter in the Black Caps team, which is awesome at this time- I have got outstanding players there and it won’t be that much easy to get into the team.”

The ICC has taken Conway an excellent situation dispensation, which means that he can play before 28 August also, in New Zealand tour of Bangladesh, which is scheduled to be started on 12th August or tour for India, which is set to start on 15th August.  But because of the Coronavirus pandemic, all these dates only exist on paper.
