Unfortunately, there are reportedly rising COVID instances over the series’ prospects. The Afghanistan team, which is presently preparing in Sylhet, has been requested to go into isolation for 48 hours, which finishes on February 16, Wednesday.

Furthermore, the Afghanistan team has been in Sylhet since February 12 on its own. For the uninitiated, the visiting team will be formally executed over by the BCB on February 19.

If the symptoms are mild then they will be isolated: BCB official

”Look how they are not under our protocol considering the series will start from February 19 but now whatever support they will want now we will provide that,” said by BCB official.

”If the symptoms are mild then they will be isolated and if that is not the case we will have to transfer them to hospital but at the moment they are looking after their own well-being,” the official added.

However, people who have become infected with the virus will be tested again in 5 to 7 days. If they report having negative results, they can undergo preparation with the rest of the group.
