BCCI Announces Revised Schedule For Sri Lanka Tour Of India

BCCI has announced a revised schedule for impending Sri Lanka’s tour to India in February – March. The campaign was supposed to begin with a 2-match Test series, followed by 3 T20Is. The T20I leg, which begins on February 24, now will take the spot before. The 1st T20I  will be contested in Lucknow, with the following 2 will be commenced in Dharamsala. Here is the Revised Schedule For Sri Lanka Tour Of India.

The 1st Test, which will be Virat Kohli’s 100th match in the format, will begin on March 4 at Mohali. The 2nd and last Test begins on March 12 in Bengaluru. Furthermore, it was previously reported that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has asked the BCCI to change the program in order to handle the players’ bubble-to-bubble travels from Australia, against whom the squad would play 5 T20Is till February 20.

And, Team India is now preparing to face the West Indies in a 3-match T20I series, which will begin on February 16. After winning the last ODI series 3-0, the Rohit Sharma-led squad will be strong and confident, and eager to perform versus the Lankan team. On the other side, Sri Lanka is suffering against the Australian side.

The visitors who have indeed lost the series after losing the 1st 3 games have left out with nothing but pride to compete for. It should be mentioned that a T20 World Cup is set to begin later this year in Australia. As a result, both sides may consider this series as an excellent opportunity for preparation.

In terms of the most recent conference between these 2 teams, India visited Sri Lanka last year with their 2nd-string team for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. While Team India clinched the ODI and Sri Lanka won the T20I series.
