Deepak Jagbir Hooda, popularly known as Deepak Hooda was born in Rohtak, Haryana, India on 19 April 1995. Deepak Hooda is an Indian right-hand batter who can bowl right-arm off-break as well. Hooda is an aggressive batter and can be used as a middle-order batter as well as a finisher in the team. Deepak Hooda made his International Debut in February 2022 in a series against West Indies. Deepak has been a part of the Indian Premier League for many years but he gained the limelight in IPL 2021. Deepak Hooda started off his domestic career while playing for Baroda in the Ranji Trophy season in 2015-16. Deepak smashed a century on his debut for Baroda and became second batter for the domestic side to achieve the record.

In 2016, Deepak Hooda was selected in the India Under-19 squad to play in the Under-19 ICC Cricket World Cup. Deepak Hooda emerged as the best all rounder of the tournament. He ended up as the second highest run getter and also took second-highest wickets in the tournament.

In the next season of Ranji Trophy i.e. 2016-17, Deepak Hooda smashed his maiden double century for Baroda.
