Zimbabwe To Play Bangladesh, India & Australia: After all these years of struggle and being ignored, Zimbabwe will have a couple of months they will look forward to. With back-to-back series against the big guns before the T20 World Cup, they are all set to be prepared for what the biggest T20 tournament will have for them.
From July 30 to August 2, Bangladesh will play Zimbabwe in three T20Is, followed by three ODIs on August 5, 7, and 10. Every game will be held in Harare. Following the series, India will embark on a tour.
India will play three one-day internationals in Harare on August 18, 20, and 22. They haven’t toured Zimbabwe since 2016. The series is a component of the ICC ODI Super League, which identifies the seven direct qualifiers and the hosts for the 50-over World Cup in India in 2019. It should be noted that the ODI series will end less than a week before the 2022 Asia Cup, which will be held in the UAE from August 27 to September 11.
Zimbabwe will have the chance to adjust to Australian conditions when they tour the nation for three ODIs in Townsville on August 28, August 31, and September 3 after securing their spot at this year’s T20 World Cup. The team will tour the Island after 18 years. Since May 2004, Zimbabwe has not toured Australia, and the two teams’ most recent ODI was in 2014.
With only three victories in 15 games, Zimbabwe is presently ranked 12th out of a total of 13 teams. Zimbabwe won the eight-team qualifying competition in Bulawayo earlier this week, securing their place at the 2022 T20 World Cup.
