The sailors of the ship for Trailblazers were Meghana and Jemimah who played incredible knocks keeping their wicket intact. During the death overs, Matthews and Dunkley took the risk and utilized the opportunity well as they scored 46 runs off the last 4 overs.
In the last five overs, managed to score 62 runs for the loss of 3 wickets. The highest partnership of the innings was between Meghana and Jemimah who contributed 113 runs to the innings.
Ayabonga bowled the 17th over of the game and was successful in dismissing Rodrigues. 13 runs and a wicket came off in this over. A total of 11 runs were scored in the 18th over of the innings bowled by Deepti Sharma.
The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Sneh Rana who couldn’t keep things tight, as she got hit for two consecutive boundaries to end her over conceding 11 runs. The final over was bowled by Simran and it was an impressive one. Even though she got hit for a couple of boundaries early on, she went on to take wicket on two consecutive balls restricting Trailblazers for 190. 11 runs were scored in the over.
Even after losing their star batter early on, Trailblazers did a marvelous job in the middle scoring the biggest score ever witnessed in Women’s T20 league. The question is will this be enough to qualify for the finals? The answer lies in their bowling performance and Velocity’s batting intensity in the next innings.
