Sarfaraz Khan will soon be rewarded for his outstanding red-ball cricket. For the past two years, he has been consistent in red-ball form. The 24-year-old hit 134 against Madhya Pradesh on the second day of the Ranji Trophy final at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
He is suspected to be chosen for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh that is set to take place in November. Notably, the Mumbai Ranji squad is competing for their 42nd championship versus Madhya Pradesh.
Mumbai is the most successful team in the illustrious competition. They have advanced to the finals 46 times prior to the current season and won 41 times. Sarfaraz Khan, who regularly scores hundreds, has been nothing short of a gift for the squad.
On the second day of play against MP, Sarfaraz hit a superb hundred. He was removed after slamming 134 runs off 243 deliveries. The Times of India mentioned in a report, “Sarfaraz has shown himself in the local setting and is expected to secure a spot in India’s Test team for the Bangladesh series.”
“Now, it’s difficult to ignore him. His performances are undermining several members of the Indian squad and demonstrate his immense talent. When selectors chose the Indian team for the Bangladesh Test series, he will be an obvious choice. He is a great fielder. He has performed well for India A last year in South America,” a BCCI insider who was reported by TOI.
If it is outlined in my destiny, it will occur: Khan, Sarfaraz
Sarfaraz is the leading run-getter in the competition. He has more than 900 runs totaled this season. This includes four centuries and two half-centuries. Sarfaraz has now amassed runs in excess of 900 runs twice, making him just the third batter to do so after former cricketers Ajay Sharma and Wasim Jaffer.
