Prithvi Shaw has been appointed as the skipper of Mumbai for the Ranji Trophy 2022 knockouts, which will start from June 6 in Bengaluru.

Mumbai will lock horns with Uttrakhand in the quarterfinals, as earlier they won two of their three games in the group stage while 1 game resulted in a draw.

The team of Mumbai is looking strong and will play the game as favorites. Although they miss their main middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer, who will on national duty during the knockout games.

Whereas the veteran Ajinkya Rahane will also not be seen playing the domestic tournament due to injury. And in the absence of already established International players, Mumbai will hope for a good show from Sarfarz Khan and Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Khan, who had a good IPL 2022 season is currently high on confidence and will look to score well and help Mumbai win the quarterfinals of Ranji Trophy 2022. While the youngster, Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is also doing great for Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing IPL 2022 will too hope to carry forward the momentum and give Mumbai a rocking start while opening the innings.
