Suresh Raina Comeback in IPL
At the IPL 2023 auction day, which is scheduled on December 23 in Kochi. The seasoned Indian batsman Suresh Raina is expected to make a comeback as a cricket analyst.
As one of the panelists for Jio Sports, Raina is preparing to take the expert’s hat. Some of the top figures in sports, like England’s World Cup-winning captain Eoin Morgan and West Indies power hitter Chris Gayle, will be on the panel with him.
After being released by CSK, Raina filed his name for the mega auction held the previous year. However, he didn’t find a franchise during the two-day event because no franchises were interested in buying him. The southpaw later made his debut as a broadcaster and pundit and was a member of Star Sports’ IPL Hindi commentary team.
Suresh Raina’s Retirement
In August 2020, Raina announced his retirement from international cricket after a ten-year career that included 18 Tests, 226 ODIs, and 78 T20I.
Raina, who once held the record for most runs scored in IPL history. Is presently ranked sixth with 5528 runs from 205 matches at an average of 32.52 and a strike rate of 136.76, including a century and 39 half-centuries.
Debut in Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022
The lefthander decided to make a name for himself in international franchise leagues by signing up with the eventual champions Deccan Gladiators for the Abu Dhabi T10 League 2022 after recently announcing his retirement from the Indian Premier League (IPL) and no longer being under contract with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
International T20 Career
Raina scored 1,605 runs at an average of 29.18 in 78 T20Is. He also produced an outstanding century in a T20I match against South Africa. That made him the first Indian to achieve a century in every format of the game. Although Raina played in 18 Tests as well, he was unable to maintain his form.
Suresh Joins the commentary Box with other players such as;

Even though they don’t play much cricket these days. This will be a good opportunity for them to shine in different departments in the game of cricket.
