It is appropriate to celebrate turning 50; after all, this year is known as the silver jubilee. And if the BCCI President is the one rejoicing, then it must be a big deal.
After hitting 79 fifties in international cricket, Sourav Ganguly, a legend, is now prepared to transition into life after fifty. In the presence of Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who has been one of Ganguly’s closest friends throughout his cricket career, the celebration has already started. At his London home, Dada cut a special cake while simultaneously celebrating his birthday with his daughter Sana.
One of Team India’s best captains, Ganguly led his country to victory in international cricket. The squad learned the skill of winning games on foreign terrain under his direction.
Ganguly, often known as the Prince of Kolkata, was one of the finest athletes the nation has ever produced. He amassed 11,363 ODI runs throughout his international career, including 22 hundred. He scored 7,212 runs in 113 games while in Tests.
Fans of cricket have always loved and respected Ganguly and nothing has changed since his time playing the game. In Rajarhat, West Bengal, a street bears his name as a tribute to his accomplishments. Sourav Ganguly Avenue is the name of the 1.5-kilometer road, which Ganguly personally opened.
With his family members in secret, Ganguly had already planned his birthday. Additionally, he stated that after he becomes 50, he will progressively lessen his workload.
It’s interesting to note that this year also marks the Silver Jubilee of Durga Puja at Ganguly’s club, “Barisha Player’s Corners.” The Durga Puja committee chose the subject Maharaja 50-at-50 with the year’s significance in mind. Since the beginning of the puja, Sourav and his family have been deeply involved.
