Orange and Purple Caps in IPL-2022 be Branded by Saudi Aramco
Earlier the highest wicket taker was given the Purple Cap and highest run scorer was given the Orange cap. Since the IPL has roped in another sponsor for the tournament, one will mostly hear the term ‘Aramco Purple Cap’ or ‘Aramco Orange Cap’ for the given awards.
We are aware of Tata being the title sponsor of the Premier league who replaced Vivo which have sponsored IPL in most seasons and was a familiar name for many who followed the league. Over the span of 15 years, the Indian Premier League has had 4 different sponsors, Tata being the 5th one to source the league.
The 2022 edition of IPL has already seen a lot changes and it will be exciting to watch the long league which now has 70 league matches, that is the highest ever. The matches will be played in the state of Maharashtra with Mumbai hosting the most number of matches.
One can expect Indian players like KL Rahul, Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan fighting for the Amarco Orange cap and Boom Boom Bumrah, Harshal Patel or young talent Avesh Khan to contest in race to win the Amarco Purple cap.
