Dilshan Madushanka bowled the 17th over of the game and was unsuccessful. as 16 runs or one wicket came in this over. A total of 6 runs came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Maheesh Theekshana.

The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Kasun Rajitha who couldn’t keep things tight, conceding 16 runs. The 20th over of the innings was bowled by Chamika Karunaratne and it was an expensive one. Indian batsmen hit one four and one six to ensure 12 runs came off the over.

During the death overs (Last 5 overs), India was able to score 64 runs for the loss of two wickets. The highest partnership of the innings was between Suryakumar Yadav and Shubman Gill who contributed 111 runs to the innings.

Dilshan Madushanka was a bit expensive but he was one of the bowlers who picked two wickets in 4 over spell. Chamika Karunaratne was the other bowler who picked one wicket in his 4-over spell. Wanindu Hasaranga finally took a breakthrough after taking the wicket of Shubham Gill. He finished his spell with 1 wicket for 36 runs. Kasun Rajitha also picked up a wicket in his 4-over spell.

Sri Lanka with a strong batting line will have to chase down 229 runs in order to win the match and claim the series. While India on the other hand have to make sure that Sri Lanka doesn’t chase down the target easily.
