New ODI Captain of Australia
The test captain is promoted to the 50-over cricket on Tuesday, meaning Pat Cummins will captain Australia to the ODI World Cup in 2023. Choosing the 29-year-old to succeed Aaron Finch, Cricket Australia decided on Tuesday morning.
To become Australia’s 27th ODI captain, Cummins overcame Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Alex Carey, and Mitch Marsh. Having replaced Shane Warne as Australia’s captain, he is the first bowler to hold the position.
Great Player from a young age
Pat Cummins, who is seen as a future star from an early age, made his Test debut at the age of 18, but injuries prevented him from playing again for six years because his body could not withstand the stress. The First Fast Bowler Captain of Australia
For the first time since Cricket Australia, Pat Cummins will captain Australia in white-ball cricket. Aaron Finch, who last month announced his decision to stop playing in ODIs but is still the team’s captain for T20I matches. He is being replaced by Cummins for the ODI format. Who is also the Australian Test captain. Cummins will resume captaincy responsibilities for the England series beginning on November 17 at the Adelaide Oval and is set to lead Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup in India.
