In what could be called an act shame, the Baroda Cricket Association for women has suspended its head coach Atul Bedade on the charges of sexual harassment towards women cricketers.

The incident took place during a tournament at Himachal Pradesh last month. Atul handed over his suspension letter handed over to him on Saturday morning, by the officials of Baroda Cricket Association officials.

The letter had the content that Atul would remain suspended until further notice given to him. The letter also stated that the board would take all measures to investigate the case to get into the truth.

Baroda Cricket Association Media Statement:

Briefing the media on the issuing Board of Cricket Association chief Ajit Lele said, “On 20th of March we had received complaints from senior women cricketers about the incident. We have made a note of it and recorded the statements. Post this. We had decided to suspend Atul.”
