The Sydney Thunder have engaged Pakistani speedster Muhammad Hasnain for the 11th edition of the BBL, which is a massive boost for the team. Daniel Sams, Chris Tremain, Saqib Mahmood, Nathan McAndrew, Brendan Doggett, and Gurinder Sandhu are among the team’s existing strong pacers. With the arrival of the 21-year-old, their team appears to be a force to be reckoned with.

Following completing his international debut in 2019, the speedy immediately impressed everyone. Hasnain will not be playing in a high-profile T20 competition for the first time, having previously played the Quetta Gladiators in the PSL and the Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL. In terms of his accomplishments in the shortest edition of the game, the pacer has 85 T20 wickets in 70 matches so far.

Although his T20 bowling average is 26.05, his strike rate is 18.2. Furthermore, he has indeed recorded 151 km/h, indicating that he is capable of generating the extra pace. Furthermore, he has already accomplished a hat-trick in T20I.

Ben Cutting, who competed with Hasnain for the Quetta Gladiators, was full of gratitude for him. The all-rounder acknowledged his skills to bowl swiftly and lauded his abilities.

I know he’ll be a tremendous addition to Sydney Thunders: Ben Cutting

He bowls fast; easily at 150 km/h. He’s a lovely young kid, and his team back home is keen for him to learn about the game and to also come out here and bowl fast,” said Ben Cutting in a statement put up by Sydney Thunder. He also spoke about how the conditions in Australia would suit the youngster’s bowling.

“Muhammad Hasnain is going to love bowling in Australia. We have faster pitches and bigger boundaries – conditions that are far more conducive to bowling fast than they are in Pakistan,” he said. “I have no doubt he’s going to enjoy the experience, and I know he’ll be a tremendous addition to Sydney Thunder’s squad.” added the 34-year-old.

Michael Klinger, the CNSW Head of Men’s Cricket, remarked about his participation in the BBL and applauded him. “He’s a fast bowler who bowls with extreme pace and has fantastic T20 skills and variations,” said Klinger. “At such a young age he’s already taken a T20I hattrick for Pakistan, and he’s performed well for Quetta in the Pakistan Super League,” he added.
