After winning the toss West Indies decided to bowl first, and bowled Bangladesh out for just 234. Apart from Litton Das (53) no other batter from the visitor’s side showed any fighting spirit, resulting they failed cross 250 mark.

In the first innings, West Indies posted a big total of 408 on board.  All of their batters excluding Jermaine Blackwood contributed some runs to their team’s total. However, Kyle Mayers played the best knock amongst all. Mayers played a sensational knock of 146 with the help of 18 fours and 2 sixes. While the skipper Kraigg Brathwaite recorded a half-century.

After taking a 174-run lead, West Indies hoped to restrict the visitor’s batters as early as possible. And their bolwers somehow managed to achieve that as they already dismissed 6 Bangladeshi batters at just 132.

Bangladesh still behind 32 runs with only four wickets in hand. The visitor’s only hope now on the wicket-keeper Narul Hasan and the all-rounder Mehidy Hasan, who will lead the Bangladesh’s challenge on the fourth day. However, it is a tough job to face West Indies fast bowlers in especially in the morning hours.

West Indies won the first test of the series by 7 wickets and are already leading the series by 1-0.

After the completion of test series both teams will lock horns in the 3ODIs and 3T20Is starting July 2.
