Jake Weatherald, Rashid Khan showed their excellence to beat Perth Scorchers and Adelaide Strikers registered their first win in BBL 2019-20.

BBL 2019-20: In the rain-affected DLS method game, the match was reduced to 18 overs on both sides. The first innings was ended on a high as Adelaide Strikers scored 198/4 in 18 overs. The second innings started well but tripped a bit and ends at 183/7 in 18 0vers by Perth Scorchers.

First Innings Highlights BBL 2019-20:

In first innings, Strikers got a very good start from the opener Jake Weatherald continued with brutal hitting by captain Alex Carey and well finished by Jonathan Wells.

Weatherald 83(47) includes ten four’s and three six’s, with eight four’s and two six’s Alex Carey hit 55(24) and in the death overs with Wells 18*(9) they managed to play a big score against Perth.

Jhye Richardson picks 2 wickets with a good bowling spell. Fawad Ahmed also picked 1 wicket with an expensive spell.

Second Innings Highlights :

Perth Scorchers started chasing with a bang, as opening batsmen’s Livingstone and Josh Inglis gives a terrific partnership of 124 runs in just 8.4 overs. The Scorchers failed to win by 15 runs but given a tough competition to the opposite team.

Both the openers of Perth scored half-centuries, mainly Livingstone hit mesmerizing seven six’s and five four’s and ended with 69(26), Josh managed to hit a half-century in just 27 balls which consist of 5 four’s and 2 six’s and got caught in Rashid Khan’s bowling.

Rashid Khan’s revenge changed the game.

In a raining boundary match, a right-arm leg-spinner showed his best bowling attack. Rashid Khan broke the unbeaten opening partnership of Livingstone and Josh Inglis as he was hit by them in the beginning overs. He served the best revenge dish by taking both wickets of Josh and Livingstone. Rashid Khan spell ends with figures 4-0-40-3.

Harry Conway and Wes Agar also pick 2 wickets and helps Perth to won against Adelaide.
