The moment we were waiting for is here. The finals of the Women’s T20 Challenge are here and the two most deserving teams of the tournament, Supernova and Velocity are playing at their best capacity. Velocity won the toss and elected to bowl first. 

Supernova batting in the first innings has scored 165 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. Velocity now has to chase 166 runs for the win.

During the death overs, Supernova could not utilize the opportunity well as they lost wickets at the crucial time and at regular intervals. Even after losing 4 wickets in the last 3 overs, the team managed to score 19 runs. The batting couldn’t hold onto their wickets or hit more boundaries.

In the last five overs, Supernova managed to score just 34 runs for the loss of 5 wickets. The highest partnership of the innings was between the openers DJS Dottin and PS Punia who contributed 73 runs to the innings.

Khaka bowled the 17th over of the game and was successful in taking a wicket that dismissed Vastrakar. 8 runs came off in this over. A total of 4 runs and 2 wickets came off the 18th over of the innings bowled by Cross which shifted the momentum completely in favor of Velocity. 

The 19th over of the innings was bowled by Deepthi Sharma who kept things tight, conceding just 5 runs and taking a wicket from the over.  The 20th over of the innings was bowled by Bahadur and it was an expensive one. King hit a six to ensure 10 runs came from the over.

The run rate at the end of 20 overs is 8.25. Deandra Dottin scored the highest number of runs 62 off 44 by hitting 4 sixes and a four at a strike rate of 141.
