Pakistan To Tour Netherlands For ODI which will take place in the Netherlands during the month of August. Pakistan cricket board has announced the schedule on Wednesday in which it is stated that there will be a total of 3 ODI matches that they will be playing. All the 3 matches are going to be a part of the ICC Men’s Cricket Super League. Earlier, the match series was postponed due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pakistan To Tour Netherlands For ODI Series

In a statement that was given by the Pakistan Cricket Board, it was said that the team will be playing the 3 one day international matches in Rotterdam in August as part of the World Cup Super League. Prior to this, Pakistan and the Netherlands played with each other during the World Cups in the years 1996 and 2003. Since then, this will be the first bilateral ODI series that will be played between the two countries.

The matches will be taking place at the VOC Cricket Ground on August 16, 18, and 21. Zakir Khan, director of international cricket of the Pakistan Cricket Board, expressed, “We are delighted to have been able to reschedule the match series, which is critical to the growth and the development of cricket in the Netherlands.”

He further added, “Our men’s national cricket team had a terrific season in the year 2021-22, and I am optimistic that they can continue on that momentum to excite ex-pat Pakistanis and Dutch spectators with superb cricket.” He also continued stating that they are pleased with the support provided by the Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond (KNCB).

This rescheduling of the matches can prove to be beneficial not only for the Netherland but for Pakistan too as this can increase their chances to progress towards the 2023 World Cup. World Cup 2023 is set to take place in India.

The top seven teams will automatically be qualified for the tournament. According to the current rankings, Pakistani is placed at the tenth position in the league. On the other hand, the Netherlands has not been the best and lies at the bottom of the list.

The matches are scheduled as follows:

The first One-Day International (ODI) will take place on August 16, 2022.

The second match is set to take place on August 18, 2022.

Final One-Day International will be held on August 21, 2022
