Trent Rockets and Southern Brave are set to kickstart the third edition of The Hundred Women’s competition 2023 on August 1.
Both the sides previously met during the eliminator game of the last season. The match was won by Southern Brave, and they reached the finals, but they couldn’t manage to win the title as they lost the final game.
The Hundred Women’s competition 2023 will consist of a total of 34 games being played at eight different venues in England and Wales.
How many teams are participating in The Hundred Women’s Competition 2023?
There will be as many as eight teams participating in the competition including Birmingham Phoenix, London Spirit, Manchester Originals, Northern Superchargers, Oval Invincibles, Southern Brave, Trent Rockets, Welsh Fire.
What is the format of The Hundred Women’s Competition 2023?
Similar to The Hundred’s men’s format, each men’s team will play four home games and four away games in The Hundred Women’s competition as well. The top three teams then qualify for the next stage of the competition.
The table-topper will directly find a place in the finals, while the second and third finished sides will meet in the eliminator. The winner amongst them will qualify for the finals scheduled to be played on August 27 at the home of cricket, Lord’s.
How many Indian players are part of The Hundred 2023?
There are as many as four Indian players taking part in this year’s The Hundred competition. Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will be seen in action for Trent Rockets side, India’s vice-captain will play for Southern Brave. Jemimah Rodrigues is a part of team Nothern Superchargers and Richa Ghosh will play for London Spirit.
