Notably, the MI management had replaced Rohit Sharma with Hardik Pandya as captain ahead of the IPL 2024 season. Pandya, who was brought in from Gujarat Titans, faced significant opposition from MI’s loyal fanbase, often being booed at the Wankhede Stadium and other venues across the country.
What went wrong for MI in IPL: In their final league match, LSG secured a convincing 18-run victory over Mumbai Indians. Nicholas Pooran led LSG’s batting with a 75-run knock, helping his team post 214/6 in their 20 overs.
