Days after Bangladesh’s former captain Mashrafe Mortaza voiced his grief over the treatment of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for forcing him to retire, Tamim Iqbal came forward to support the veteran. After Mortaza stepped down from the post in February during Bangladesh ‘s final home series against Zimbabwe, Tamim was handed over the ODI captaincy. The latter was also questioned for his plan to retire but remained silent. BCB also openly offered a big farewell to Mortaza on his retirement. But he turned down the bid from the commission.
