Madhya Pradesh had a rough day that was saved by their opener Himanshu Mantri who hit an unbeaten 134. The team had wickets falling at regular intervals but Mantri stood in the middle like a pillar. The only big partnership came after the fall of fourth wicket when Akshat Raghuwanshi came in to bat replacing the skipper Aditya Shrivastava. Akshat scored a quick 81 balls 63 before losing his wicket to Akash Deep. Mantri and Akshat had a good 123 runs partnership which helped the team reach a respectable score. Mantri is still at the crease and stretching the innings trying to make his team reach at least 320 mark with Puneet Datey on the other side.

Bengal, whose bowling lineup looked prolific in the first one and a half session did not end their day very well. Mukesh Kumar and Akash Deep bowled long spells and 2 wickets each. It is required for team to take early wickets tomorrow morning to ensure they are in a good position. As for MP, they will expect some hard hitting from Datey and hope that Mantri continues the way he is playing.
