Suryakumar Yadav smashed 90 off 80 in Ranji Trophy game

The top-ranked batter in T20I, Suryakumar Yadav once again shocked the viewers with his explosive performance but this in the domestic test cricket.

Playing for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy season 2022-23, Suryakumar Yadav played a knock of 90 off just 80 deliveries and grabbed everyone’s attention, like always.

It’s obvious that his knock took the whole limelight from other performers of the day.

The 32-year old batter, who walked in the field early during the day. Changed the whole approach from defensive to aggressive of the match. And with that effect most of the batters were seen following his fashion, as per capabilities.

He and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 153 runs for second wicket and at the time he left the crease, Mumbai already posted 176 in just 32.2 overs.

Surya missed his well-deserved century, but his knock grabbed all the attention. He struck 15 fours and a maximum in the process.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ajinkya Rahane recorded centuries

Mumbai opener Yashasvi Jaiswal scored a brilliant century and helped his side to take the advantage of day 1 of the game itself.

Jaiswal played a knock of 162 runs in just 195 balls with the help of 27 fours and a maximum.

He remained on crease till the 70th over of the innings.

Ajinkya Rahane shows signs of back in form with a century on day 1

Former India vice-Captain showed signs of return to form as he struck an outstanding hundred on the first day of the Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Hyderabad.

It was his 38 first-class hundred, which he recorded in just 121 balls.

Rahane remained unbeaten on 139 in a day Mumbai dominated the game.

Sarfaraz Khan scored not out 40 runs and added 75 for fourth wicket before stumps on day 1.

Rahane, who scored 44 in the first round, bounced back strongly and now nearing a 150-run mark.

This century is important at this time, as he last played for India during the South Africa tour early this year and since then remained out of the squad.
