The vice-captain of India’s limited-overs, Rohit Sharma is likely to be awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award, which the highest sporting award of India. The decision is taken after the National Sports Awards Committee selected four sports players for this year’s honor, instituted by the sports ministry of the country. For this year’s award, Rohit Sharma is the only cricketers to be picked by the committee after MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, and Virat Kohli. Rohit Sharma was selected for the honor in May by the BCCI comprising former opener Virender Sehwag and former men’s hockey captain Sardar Singh.
