Sachin Tendulkar register his first international century

The Little master blaster Sachin Tendulkar register his first international century 32 years ago against England at Old Trafford in 1990.

Sachin was 17 years old when he achieved this feat and he went on to score 100 centuries in his entire career. When he scored his maiden century he was the third youngest player to score a century in the longest format of the game.

Sachin took eight test matches to mark his first ever three-digit score in the longest format of the game, where he scored 119 runs from 189 deliveries in the second innings of the Indian side of the final test match.

In the final test match, the England side declared their innings at 320 with 4 wickets down and set a target of 408 runs for India to win the match and Sachin’s knock helped India to draw the match.

Even BCCI posted on Twitter saying on this day in 1990, the legendary Sachin Tendulkar scored his maiden International century against England at the age of 17 and the rest is history.

BCCI Tweet:

In India, Sachin is a household name and people love his style of playing cricket, Sachin has the record of scoring the most runs in the test format with 15,921 runs including 51 centuries, the achievement is same when it comes to the ODI format also where he is the highest run scorer of the ODI format with 18,426 runs and 49 centuries.

Sachin retired from International cricket in 2013 and until now no one came close to matching or breaking his records both in the test and ODI formats. This shows the level of the master blaster.

Sachin played in six World Cups and was part of the 2011 World Cup winning team.

It is commonly considered that Sachin Tendulkar had the greatest farewell match where he scored a superb 74 and was only 26 runs away from scoring a farewell century, but the moments he gave to the fans during his career were simply more than enough for people like us to enjoy. The farewell speech he gave was the best farewell speech ever in cricket history.

Sachin is also considered as the GOD of cricket among the fans.
