IPL 48th match between SRH and KXlP at Hyderabad was a crucial match for both the teams to make their way for playoffs.
SRH were asked to bat first and the new opening pair Warner and Saha opened the batting for SRH. They had a very good partnership and gave a kick-start to SRH innings. Then M.Ashwin struck and Saha was out after a knock of 28 in 13 balls. Right from the innings start, SRH has managed to keep up a run rate of 10.Manish Pandey had a knock of 36 in 25 balls. So, Apart from Warner and Manish, there was no major contribution from another batsman. SRH were in a stage to post a total of 220+ but after back to back wickets, they have managed to post a huge score on board with 212-6. D. Warner had a blistering knock of 81 runs in 56 balls.
KXlP openers had huge pressure on them because of the asking run rate was over 10 runs. K.Ahmed has taken C.Gayle wicket in his second over and he has to walk back to pavilion with just 4 runs. Apart from K.L.Rahul batting, there was no major contribution from the KXlP batsman and middle order has terribly failed and had a loss in their back. After all the hurdle KXlP has managed to score 167 at the end of second innings. SRH has won the match comfortably by 45 Runs.
After the win SRH stands at 4th place with 12 points on points table and KXlP at 6th place with 10 points.
SRH bowlers have done their job by picking wickets at regular intervals. Rashid and Khaleel shared 3 wickets each and Sandeep with 2 wickets.
David Warner was awarded Man of the Match for his knock of 81 runs from 56 balls.
