For the first season of the UAE’s International League T20, MI Emirates has revealed the coaching staff. In addition to his duty as the bowling coach for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, the franchise owned by the Mumbai Indians has selected Shane Bond as head coach, giving him another additional responsibility under their brand.

Since his arrival with the Mumbai Indians in 2015, Shane Bond has helped the squad win four titles, build a solid working relationship, and enable bowlers to realize their full potential on the international stage. Robin Singh has participated in five IPL and two Champions League winning seasons since joining the Mumbai Indians coaching staff in 2010, working regularly alongside Shane Bond.

Shane bond after being appointed as the Head coach for the MI Emirates team, he was happy and excited and said that “It’s a privilege to be appointed the Head Coach of MI Emirates. It’s always exciting to build a new team and I’m looking forward to furthering the MI legacy and inspiring our players to take the game to new heights.”

Given that the MI Emirates intend to popularise their kind of cricket in the UAE, Robin’s engagement in UAE cricket will be favorable. Parthiv Patel, a former player for the Mumbai Indians, has been a part of the talent scouting team since 2020. Vinay Kumar, another former player for the Mumbai Indians, joined Patel in the scouting team in 2021.

Parthiv Patel, the Mumbai Indians‘ talent scout, will make his debut as the team’s Batting coach, with Vinay Kumar joining him as the Bowling coach. Former Mumbai Indians all-rounder James Franklin will be the team’s fielding coach. In addition, Robin Singh, a former all-rounder for India and director of cricket for the UAE, will become the general manager of cricket at MI Emirates.

This huge announcement was made by Chairman, Reliance Jio Info, Mr. Akash M Ambani. During the announcement, Akash was quoted saying “I welcome Shane, Robin, Parthiv, Vinay, and James to their new roles in the MI Emirates. Having been an integral part of MI for various periods of time, the coaching team is exceptionally well-versed in the values that make MI what it is. I’m sure they would be able to build MI Emirates as a team that attracts the love of passionate MI fans.”

The team will be located in Abu Dhabi and will be made up of a variety of current and former MI players as well as emerging talents.
