LSG vs DC Highlights: It thrilling match here at Lucknow Ekana stadium as the away side Lucknow Super Giants beat Delhi Capitals by 6 wickets to stay in the hunt for the IPL 2024 playoffs. This win takes Delhi Capitals above RCB in the points table.

First, it was Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed with the ball, later it was Jake Fraser-McGurk and Rishabh Pant who held the rope for the Capitals thus making it a second win for the Capitals.

The home side after winning the toss decided to bat first keeping their bowling powers in mind. However, de Kock’s start was short-lived as he was dismissed early on. Skipper tried to carry the innings but his knock was also short-lived as he scored 39 of 22 balls.

However, it was Ayush Badoni and Arshad Khan who played the late innings which propelled LSG to 167/7 in 20 overs. 

Kuldeep Yadav was once again magical with the ball as he picked up three crucial wickets for KL Rahul, N Pooran, & M Stoinis. These three wickets were certainly the game-changer for DC in restricting LSG to a lower total.

Khaleel Ahmed also contributed with two crucial wickets, while Ishan Sharma and Mukesh Kumar picked up one wicket each.

LSG vs DC Highlights: LSG Failed to Restrict Delhi from Chasing the Total

It was only Ravi Bishnoi with two wickets, while Naveen-ul-Haq & Yash Thakur with one wicket each. This combined effort was not enough to stop the Capitals from chasing the target.

LSG’s star bowlers like Marcus Stoinis, Krunal Pandya, and Arshad Khan were expensive and that certainly cost the match for LSG in this match.

It was a wonderful display of cricket from the away side, under pressure with a must-win situation the Delhi Capitals kept their composure and held the never to chase down 167 runs inside 18.1 overs.

This win takes DC above RCB in the points table, while this loss makes the LSG drop from third to fourth place in the points table.
