While the Australian skipper, Steve Smith, struck back-to-back centuries during his team’s dominant World Test Championship series against Sri Lanka. He also played a crucial 73-run knock in the Champions Trophy semi-final against India, though his side fell short of reaching the final.
The Women’s category is just as competitive, with three outstanding performers making the cut.
Alana King (Australia): The leg-spinner dominated the Women’s Ashes Test, picking up nine wickets and clinching the Player of the Series award. Annabel Sutherland, who smashed 163 runs, hitting 21 fours and a six. played a key role with the ball as well, earning the Player of the Match title.
